Like many companies, we have implemented strict measures here at Piktfresh to ensure that our customers, team, growers, delivery drivers and everyone in our supply chain are kept safe and are properly supported through what is proving to be a very challenging time for many.
Here are some of the steps we have taken to ensure we can continue to deliver fresh produce to our customers in a safe and responsible manner.
Supporting Our Customers
Throughout the pandemic, our mission has remained the same: to safely deliver fresh, organic produce to our customers when they need it. We have been working around the clock to help both new and existing customers to live well during this uncertain time. In real terms, this means ensuring that customers who have been advised to isolate because they are particularly vulnerable to the coronavirus receive regular deliveries, and delivering to those who have preferred to avoid supermarkets wherever possible.
We have taken steps to closely monitor our supply chain to ensure that we are well-placed to keep up with increased demand and can continue to help customers avoid busy supermarkets and shops. Our deliveries have continued with minimal disruption and we are pleased to say that our 7-day delivery schedule is firmly in place.
Standard weekday deliveries remain free, there is a small surcharge in place for weekend deliveries and next day options are also available. Our produce is always packed in recyclable materials for quality and freshness, which ensures that our fruit and vegetables will last longer and can, therefore, be used in a variety of different ways.
We pride ourselves on being able to help people to use their time at home to prepare a variety of nutritious meals and snacks every week. In addition to boosting the immune system, high-quality food is good for the body, mind and soul. We have been offering a variety of pre-prepared seasonal organic fruit delivery boxes to encourage culinary creativity alongside customisable options for customers looking for specific ingredients.
Supporting Our Team
We pride ourselves on looking after our team all year round and implementing safe working practices that support social distancing measures has been of the utmost importance to us. Importantly, this level of care extends to our wider supply chain and delivery partners.
We have taken steps to facilitate efficient contact-free deliveries and produced clear labelling to indicate that, wherever possible, boxes can be left in a secure place. Doorstep deliveries have also been highly effective and ensure minimal contact for our customers and delivery teams.
We are living through challenging times but over the last few weeks, we have seen first-hand that kindness, support and high-quality food can make a positive difference during periods of uncertainty.
